Building a web service in
Lotus Notes serve by Domino version 6 and up
GroupForce
Mobile should be able to do the following:

Expose the common features of the great
GroupForce CRM Solution
to external applications.

Serve seamless data to end-user. GroupForce Mobile could be consumed by either
web application, Blackberry, Pocket PC, Add-in applications, etc.

Easily extendable for future expansion.
Problem to resolve:
Findings ways on how to expose Notes documents as a web service.
Understanding of GroupForce Model
Understanding the Notes security and programming model
Re-use of available GroupForce classes and script libraries for easy upgrade
and integration
Converting data type to be transparent for the web services and still
compatible with Notes Document.
Transferring Attachment files over the web service.
Case Solution:
Meeting with the GroupForce Development Team and Project Manager
Review of the Notes databases, classes, security models, etc.
Propose flow of what would or should be exposed as functions and objects over
the web service
Develop the WSDL page structure to be compatible with Domino. Create Notes
Agents, Script Libraries, etc.
Create a testing environment in
Microsoft .NET for consuming the web services.
A new Notes database is now created which is packaged with other available
GroupForce Module from NOVAData
Information Systems Inc.
Installation:
The Web Service Module (GroupForce Mobile) as been successfully install on the
client server and been already sold to many clients in the US and Euro Zone.
After Installation:
GroupForce Outlook Add-in is a Microsoft Outlook add-in using these Web
Services
GroupForce Mobile Timesheet is also supported by GroupForce Mobile Web Service
